Over 20 years of
submarines’ adventures

Atlantis arose with the main goal of creating a submarine: a vehicle capable of transporting tourists to the bottom of the sea so that they could enjoy the great privilege of contemplating its wonders and its mysteries. Atlantis was born from the idea of a man passionate about his work in the depths of the sea; Dennis Hurd, marine engineer by profession.
Since 1986, Atlantis has created a total of 13 submarines; currently there are 5 submarines and 1 semisub operating. The first tourist immersion site was in the warm waters off the Caribbean Island of Grand Cayman. After conquering the public of Barbados, St. Thomas, Kona, Honolulu, Maui and Guam, Atlantis International decided to explore the depths of the Caribbean in Mexico.

Atlantis Submarines has been operating in Cozumel Island for 25 years; until the 31st of January 2023, the Atlantis XII submarine had operated 1,108,516 passengers and performed 40,183 dives.
The Atlantis TS XII (Tourist Submersible) is the only one of its kind in Mexico; is powered by batteries, which helps to minimize its ecological footprint, and its passenger cabin is air conditioned and maintains the same pressure as the surface atmosphere. It has 26 viewports and a large front viewport located in the bow of the submarine to enjoy the most impressive views of the reef of Cozumel corals.
